North of Cabo San Lucas on the Pacific Side, Todos Santos was established by Father Jaime Bravo in 1723. In the 19th century, it thrived as a sugarcane producer. When the town’s fresh water spring dried up in 1950, Todos Santos faced a uncertain future. However, in 1981 the Mexican Government paved the highway through which brought tourism and also revived the fishing and ranching trades as well as prospering farmlands.
